The story behind the Off the Hook Restaurant Group begins in 2010 when the Indian River Seafood Company opens the first restaurant Off the Hook in Bethany Beach, Delaware. A year later, Just Hooked opened in Fenwick Island followed with the opening of the first Maryland location, Hooked, in Ocean City, MD. And just when you thought we were running out of Hook names, we did it again — launching Hooked Up Ale House & Raw Bar in Millville, DE in 2015, our fourth restaurant in just five years. With the popularity of the restaurants, Taste Events was formed. Taste Events is the catering division of the Off the Hook Restaurant Group and offers full service catering to allow guests to enjoy our award-winning chefs’ cuisine, not only at events in one of our four restaurant locations but also at off-site events.
Owners Steve Hagen and Kevin Frey have now embarked on a new journey opening their newest location – Tailchasers Restaurant & Dock Bar. Tailchasers sits on the canal of 122nd street offering waterfront views, family-friendly dining, and the fresh, honest, local food and beverages Off the Hook Restaurant Group is known for.
Off the Hook Restaurant Group’s Restaurants and Catering Services are locally run serving the needs of each local community while being a hot spot for the seasonal crowd. The natural atmosphere of the coast continually inspires the chefs to create culinary masterpieces centered on freshness, creativity, and comfort. This company makes the idea of “Farm to Table” a reality for every customer at on-site and off-site events.

My sister and I came here for dinner while on vacation. Overall a solid 4.0 experience. We got the Rock shrimp appetizer and crab bisque, which both were pretty good. For entrees I got the Ribs and my sister got the crab cake sandwich. Ribs were good besides the beans…and the crab cake sandwich was fantastic. Our server Lindsey was super sweet and nice to us. Would come again!!

OMG you have to try them! From the moment my son and I stepped into the restaurant and smelled this wonderful light sweet fragrance and saw burning candles all around I knew I would love this place. We asked to be seated upstairs where it was nice, warm and cozy. We ordered a burger and a crab cake sandwich both with a side of fries. The food was delicious! I usually don’t get dessert but I gave their banana bread pudding a try and oh my God it was delicious! My son and I devoured it! The customer service we received was amazing and I can’t wait to visit them again. Thanks for the experience Tailchasers!

Atmosphere is top notch! The deck is amazing! Lots of options for people with food allergies! Excellent service! Love that we can bring our dog.
The first time I was here, a week ago, the server checked in with someone and came back and told me I had certain options for food with my dairy and gluten issues. Not much. But what I had (the pulled chicken without a bun) was good, but nothing too special.
I just went back recently and talked to the manager beforehand and discovered a whole new world based on my food allergies.
My husband and I had steamed shrimp. They were huge, and the cocktail sauce was perfect.
He had the fish and chips as is and loved it.
I had the filet with french fries instead of lobster mash.
Here's where our server, Ryan, really came through. He read off the dessert options. I knew I couldn't have any of them. My husband had key lime pie. It was huge, and he loved it.
Ryan gave me the chocolate fudge with nuts and sea salt, just excluded the ice cream. Wow! It was delicious and rich! I was so excited to not just be able to get a dessert but it was amazing regardless.
Excellent service and attention to detail from Ryan and the manager. So grateful and so nice to be able to enjoy GF/DF as a foodie.
