Just a short drive down Route 50 from Ocean City, and you’re in Salisbury, MD, the Capital of the Eastern Shore where the National Folk Festival will be hosted for the third year in a row! This year will be the 80th annual National Folk Festival event, and the last year it will be hosted on Maryland’s Eastern Shore.
The FREE, large, three-day event celebrates the variety of American culture. What does this look like? Over 350 of the nation’s finest traditional musicians, dancers, craftspeople, and other keepers of culture in performances, workshops, and demonstrations. If that wasn’t enough, there are also children’s activities, savory regional and ethnic cuisines, craft brews, non-stop participatory dancing, storytelling, parades, and even more.
The National Folk Festival is one of America’s most prestigious, largest, and long-lasting festivals celebrating the roots, richness, and variety of American culture.
